The design of this swing is based on the classic Adirondack lawn chair. It is a two-person swing that features rounded wooden slats and a comfortable slant-back design. This project is suitable for less skilled woodworkers. This style of swing is generally installed on a gazebo or covered porch. However you could also hang it from a second story deck or a large tree branch. To make sure the swing lasts they recommend you use all-heartwood grade of redwood, such as Construction Heart or Deck Heart. This wood won’t just last, but is also easier to work with.
