This project makes a great gift and you can make it with some spare scrap pine pieces. The jars that fit into this holder can be bought mail order, if you cant find them locally. They pickled the wood for this project. That is when you apply a white or off-white pastel semi-transparent color to an open pored wood. They did it by applying a latex paint and then wiping it off with a damp rag before it dried.
