This is a nice looking box with a clever trick mechanism for locking and unlocking it. This box is a single day project and I would say it’s of medium difficulty. The parts aren’t that small, but you need to be precise to make it work. He used White Oak scrap floorboards and Walnut to do the project. The contrast of the light and dark woods makes for a striking looking box. I also liked the spline cutting jig he made.
