As a woodworker you always have wood scraps that you don’t want to throw out. This project is a great use for those scraps. The coasters are both decorative and functional. The woodworker who created the plans used birch for the holder and walnut for the coasters. He cut the round parts using hole saws, mounted on a drill press. You can cut out the coasters using a coping or scroll saw.
