Accelerating the drying of green wood without reducing the quality of the wood is a tricky job. The idea with this solar Kiln is to make it easy enough that someone without the proper experience can dry wood in it. The plans where created by Brian Bond, Assistant Professor of Wood Science at Virginia Tech. The kiln takes about a month to dry lumber.
