A longboard is similar to a skateboard just longer. This makes the longboard more stable at speed. Generally longboards are made out of plywood. However here he uses 2 kinds of hardwood. The color difference in the wood makes for a eye-catching look. To strengthen the board he uses biscuits. Additionally the board is thicker than most commercial longboards on the market. The trade-off is that this board is less flexible than a plywood longboard.
