How to Make Finger Joints

A finger joint, also known as a comb joint, is a woodworking joint made by cutting a set of complementary, interlocking profiles into two pieces of wood, which are then glued together. The cross-section of the joint resembles the interlocking of fingers between two hands, from there the name “finger joint”. Finger joint bits are used extensively commercially in CNC machines and commercial shapers, but very seldom in smaller woodworking shops.
