This pattern is a World War II propaganda poster. It depicts a pilot strapping himself into a cockpit. On the side of the plane are Rising Sun flags, they record the pilot’s kills.
At the bottom of the poster it says: “Keep him flying, buy war bonds”. War bonds were low interest loans from citizens to the USA government, to finance the war.
