In this video he doesn’t start with the planks, like you usually do. Instead he starts with the tree, chops that down. Then takes the tree to a sawmill to get the planks for the project. Then he flattens and smooths the rough sawn planks. What I like the most is how he picked the wood for the door parts based on the grain. I mean the wood on this project was just beautiful. It is also clear that he is a very skilled wood worker and every detail on that door is done very professionally.
