Mexican Skull Pattern

Decorative human skulls are a traditional part of the Mexican celebration of the Day of the Dead (Spanish: Día de Muertos) and the Roman Catholic holiday All Souls’ Day. On Día de Muertos skulls made from sugar or clay are given to children or offered to the dead. When used as offerings, the name of the deceased is written across the forehead of the skull on colored foil.
