Sailing Ship Weather Vain Plans

Difficulty: Low

This handsome weather vain is a replica of a 19th century American revenue cutter. Construction is simple and the needed materials shouldn’t be difficult to find at your local hardware store. The mainsail is meant to turn the ship into the wind. So you can use the weather vain to tell the direction of the wind.

This ship can also be used as a toy or for decoration. It probably won’t float well unless you hollow out the hull.
