Should You Get a Japanese Pull Saw?

In this video we look at Japanese woodworking and focus on the Japanese pull saws. Japanese saws have gained favor with woodworkers in recent years due to their versatility. Some saws combine ripping and crosscutting blades in one tool. There are also blades with very thin designs for dovetailing. When you cut with a Western saw, you only use your arm, putting a lot of strain on your shoulder. With the Japanese saws you use both hands and your whole body, spreading the strain out.

When the blade on these saw aren’t good anymore you don’t need to replace the whole saw, you can just replace the blade.
